La Caravella opened in the early 1960s, when
the very famous Ciro’s bar (mentioned by Simone de Beauvoir in her
books) was converted. It is renowned as it was then for its high quality
cuisine and service, but also for its unique interior: the furnishings
by Luigi Orefice recall the inside of an antique sailing ship. In summer
diners are served in the typical Venetian courtyard.
The menu consists of typical traditional dishes, but also more creatively
inspired dishes that alter according to season. The fish and meat dishes
are always fresh and of the highest quality. Indeed, our suppliers guarantee
their products with the most recent regulations ensuring traceability.
